Inspired by the installation QUADRI DA UN’ESPOSIZIONE. STEFANO ARIENTI INTERPRETA L’ARTE A MANTOVA NEL NOVECENTO
(Fruttiere, Palazzo Te, 23 April – 26 June 2016)
The first chapter of the theatrical storytelling project STORIE TRA TE E TERRA is an evocative documentation of life in Mantua during the second half of the twentieth century, created through interviews of local people.
It includes direct accounts of social and cultural changes, original stories from ordinary people and celebrities – from both the city and province of Mantua – expressed through monologues by professional actors and the students of the Teatro Magro theatre company.
The ten stories evoke the past and places long forgotten. They are the result of a long and painstaking effort that began with the interviews and concluded with the dramatization and staging.
The monologues, each lasting about ten minutes, were enacted at Palazzo Te as part of the installation QUADRI DA UN’ESPOSIZIONE, one of the key events during Mantua Italian Capital of Culture 2016.
The performance was held on 12 June 2016 at Beccherie del Lungo Rio
